Teen pleads guilty in beating of UNC Charlotte instructor

An 18-year-old accused in the beating of a UNC Charlotte instructor pleaded guilty this morning to felony robbery and assault.

Narayan Dhakal was found beaten at the intersection of 8th and North Trying streets in October 2008.

Maurice Weaver agreed to testify in court against a second suspect in the case.

Dhakal was heading home from an uptown bar at the time of the attack. Initially, doctors told his family that he would not make it, but Dhakal continues to improve.

I don't know Narayan Dhakal personally but I saw him long time ago. It was at the American University, DC. My friend point at him and told me he is a professor. I was like what..he looks 30ish.act.boyish..and we made fun of his hair style like..Ashton Kutcher. Thats it.  And Suddenly, she called me on 2008 when she heard the news on Sajha.  I heard through her that he is doing well and this is the news she forward to me.  

Very smart fellow, Heard a lot about him when he was @ Auburn University...Glad the kids are  caught and Dhakal dai is recovering from the injury.

I know him and met him. I felt so bad about the incident. He is cool guys but dress differently. He used to teach Math at American University. I heard he is improving lot and start talking ... I heard he even walks with the support or something. I think he has lots of my friends near by DC so we might hear more from them ..

Good luck to him and I am glad to hear the news about the arrest (so called) of Maurice Weaver.
