Dear friends, I would appreciate your help if you guys can provide me with the information regarding entry to US.

My parents applied visa for attending my graduation. My mom got 5 yrs visa and they told my dad to contact them after 2 months, so my mom wants to  wait for my dad to get visa, so that they can come together, will there be any problem at the port of entry ??? Is there any time frame within which a visa holder should enter the US ???

As long as she has a valid visa, she can enter at any point on her convenience. I checked this info with immigration people and Border patrol too.

i do agree with syd_acid, there ain't any problem for your mom now she can enter US when every she want. but question remains as u wrote that "they told my dad to contact them after 2 months," So, when is your graduation bro. is ur grad after 2 months.. would your dad make it to ur grad. So, he need to have a good reason at the time he reapplies the visa.. good luck.. and congrats...

BostonKtm,Thank you !! Even though my parents' interview date(may 3rd) was before my graduation date(may 8th), because of the strike going on, their interview date was postponed(may 10th) and my mom got visa after my graduation. I think they already have a reason of political instability and so on. Any suggestions from you guys for next time my dad applies for visa ?
