I have very unique but unlikeable answer to you.

Whom you call the most? Your family or friends? How often and why you call for and where do you call?

I have answer for you.

Simpleman, I was tired of using calling cards. Although they offered great rates.. after some unsuccessful attempts (w/charge) and the connection fee... it used to be expensive at the end..
Now I am using Hello977 (www.hello977.com). Quality is good and it's cheaper. 6cents/min for kathmandu and 10-11 c/min for mobile or outside ktm.
So far that's the only one site I have found useful. If you find anything better than that... please share here.

@syanjali, Can you share the info?
I call outside ktm (in fact, Syangja) weekly and there is no internet.

I use STI MY FRIEND card which give 17 ( outside ktm /cell)  minutes per $2 card. Not sure if you can get in your city.

I was trying to be sarcastic if you were to make phone to KTM, because it is cheaper and sound is so clear as if you are calling ktm to ktm. Usually I am asking all my friends and family to call in week end and trying to suggest the same.

Go for Nonoh.net. Flat rate 10.5 Cents per minute.
I buy the $15 one which lasts for like 2 months. No surcharge, crystal clear voice
