Choice #1.

I  have a 95 Honda accord for sale...it has 546,000 miles and runs really
good...all it needs is a clutch but it is still drivable..
Asking Price is $1200.

Choice #2.

Starts and runs just fine, power windows, power locks, sun roof. air
conditioning and heat both work. The car does need to have the front passengers
side wheel bearing replaced, you can hear it while you drive.
The
wheel bearing is only a $40 or $50 dollar part if you replace it
yourself. Asking for $1400 or B.R.O.

I tried to put 300000 miles on my Accord but the odometer is on and off since 259XXX miles. It is still running strong but too many big dents and rust on rear wheel cover.

I am trying to bargain for the second one for $1000 as I saw the ads for 546K miles.

One Florida lady has over 1 Millions miles on her Chevy Camaro.

Looked at the second one, smelly and condition do not match ad not worth it.

"I  have a 95 Honda accord for sale...it has 546,000 miles and runs really"
Hope this is just a Typo.

My first car was 95 Accord Coop n had a manual transmission too. It had 164 K on it when i traded it for $1000 with a Nissan Dealer.I had lots of problem with its Clutch though.

I hate manuals as it does not let you hold your Significant Other's hand while driving and even though you are a good driver, old manual cars do Jerk a lot. So, forget about a romantic ride if you are planning to get it.

How many more miles we can add up in this car?

1996 Toyota Corolla. 4 door sedan. 5 speed manual with CD player.  1 owner since 2001. All of my maintenance records are available. 304,000 miles. 36 mpg in the winter and 44 mpg in the summer. This is a wonderful car: peppy, nimble, reliable and very economical. Very clean inside and out. This is a great commuter vehicle. Asking price is 1950.

Buying these kind of old vehicles makes sense if used in learning how to drive below 40 mph. However, can we trust on the airbags and seat belts in these old vehicles? Considering chances of accidents are higher when you are a learner, it's not worth buying.

Thank you Geek1;

Mine is less than yours, just about 262000 miles, Clutch is original, Engine is still smooth.  Exhaust, radiator, rotors , starter, battery are about 2 years old, Last month replaced rear brake pads and  rotors and an alternator.
But the looks is not good and teen children does not like to ride any more.  But compare to Elantra 2004, this old pal  has smoother ride and better pick up. My plan to drive until it takes it's last breath or 300000 miles but family are against it.

Planning to ride to Boston to attend ANA convention ( from Renoake, VA), am I taking too much risk?

I got email notification and it says deleted. Is there anything wrong in my posting?

Good news and bad news, sold for 550, and wanted to buy back for 600 as I realized my mistake selling before buying one. " I ain't giving you back, my dad said, keep it son." that was the answer.  If you have any to sell  specially standard car and live in NE, shoot me an email. Driving friends car while he is in NEpal.  Gone baby gone.
