Hello eutasoch jee:
Basically you'll need to look for some experience when you are in college itself i.e. internship in a reputed company. They will ask you to do crap work but you'd have to "pretend" you are really happy to do crap work as you don't have any choice at that time. Once you have gathered enough experience there, you can start showing your true colors :) i.e suggest a better way to do things without offending the ego of the existing developers. Sometimes that is the biggest issue which is to be likable rather than being overly talented guy...
If you are struggling to get in as an intern, I'd suggest slam in few of the java certifications, Java 6, Java web services, etc..that proves you are hard working and can go beyond the normal call of duty if needed... nothing else.. you'll gather more knowledge from doing the actual work rather than doing these stupid certifications.
Once you are in, you can move into architect roles and look at bigger and better things and of course better loads of money too!!
Good luck
Revival
Waiting for a new beginning!

Thankyou Revival jee,
I did worked as an intern while in college. But it ended as I graduated. However I never find luck in landing in a full time job. Is it better to do Java certifications? Or is there some better way to seek for the job other than job search sites? I've already spent so much of time looking for the job that my patience has been tested.
Any suggestion for finding a job for a graduate with experience in Java Technologies?

Thanks in advance

I am wondering why are you finding it so difficult to get a java job. I can see plenty of java jobs available in market right now. Two things might be going wrong with you.

1. Your java resume is outdated with the technologies that are no longer used in Java development world.
2. You are looking in the wrong place.

In first case I can help you by listing some of the HOT technologies in Java application development arena. The technologies are arranged with their "hotness" :) .

1. Java Spring Framework -- Spring Core, Spring MVC, Spring Webflow, Spring Web Services
2. XML technologies -- JAXB, XML Beans
3. Web Service technologies
4. MiddleWare technologies : JMS, ActiveMQ, MQSeries
5. DB techs :- Oracle, DB2
6. Java 6

thanks
