New restaurants, clubs, shopping malls etc are getting inaugerated every few months in our mother land .. do u think investing in these sectors helps develop the nation ?? Development in these stratum of society, that too in context of our country where a huge margin of population prevails under poverty, is gonna create more differences between individuals, more visible contrast, more class classification and much more urges of showing off amongst the public. The increasing rate of corruption in our native soil is one of the major outcomes of this contrast escalating with each passing day. Not only that it also intensifies the crime factor of the society. So in order to develop, or just to decelerate the contrast prevailing, is it equitable for development in these affluenceing sectors ?????

These things can generate new jobs and hence help make the economy better and provide opportunities for the needy. On the flip side - as they say ignorance is bliss, if more affluence is seen in public, it can be a source of envy and desires by hook or crook.

The world economy has shifted to free market and as such this question is irrelevant. Whether it is good or bad, these things will keep popping. I agree with grgDai and think it is good for the economy and better than not doing anything at all. If we don't have manufacturing, we can atleast rely on consumer economy like US.

Now almost every things are globalized and it will come to your place sooner or later. Mostly good things does not come or if comes very slowly as snails race but others they just rush which you are questioning. Withing the week you are in different culture and having trouble to make adjustments. Every things has head and tails, I mean it has good as well bad. Just the creation of job opportunity creation definitely good but we can think of only job but other social factors must be considered side by side but the business people who are behind the money will not think of other aspects. As the society moves ahead we must have rules and regulation and the burden of following goes to us and if we keep up with them is most ethical things to do.
Now many of us may ask question do we have rules , may be yes and no, do we follow strictly? answer is always no. We love to avoid and supersede it. Is government follow properly and the answer is always no. As we citizens are corrupted ( not thinking ethical and doing right things) so are the politicians and public servants.
