discussion contd from Maddoggs post of Do U Remember using these words and certain habits. What makes Nepali? forget all the wars, fighting, casts, riches, boundries and the political turmoil that plauges Nepal. Only remember all our habits the similarities, culture, tradition, similar lifestyle, popular pop culture etc etc. I think What brings us closer as Nepalese is our similar background from child hood to present day, our food, languages, celebrations But for me its the tiny habits, expressions, memories and what we as a Nepali culture has gone through all these years. Please share you thoughts about what memories you have and what makes you feel Nepali deep inside. when I was a child we used to rent BMX bikes and the old chinese bike(kaichi style) and ride every where but before that it was rubber tires or lid of a tin can on a stick. I must have driven that stuff from boudha to new road. Then it was hunting with guleli and dhanus and baand, Jay shree ram and shoot, Ramayan and Maha Bharat inspired. Reading comiks naag raj, tin tin etc. Night bus to patlaya and stop at muglin, the food was always good. Now night bus is one of my fondest memories. etc etc. please add more. take some time to read this thread, its brilliantly Nepalese http://www.sajha.com/sajha/html/openthread.cfm?threadid=62604

Titaura bro, ate lots of titaura. Guliyo, amilo, nunilo, piro. Damn good titaura. Parents ko gali khanda khanda tei pani titaura khana no chhodne. Lots of snot coming from our nose, and we would still be putting packets of that red liquidy stuff in our mouth. Damn, all this titaura talk is making my mouth water. Pau, Lapsi ko Titaura, gund pak, pustakari, chhurpi. Bambai-sal laddu, Amitabachhan chocolate, baraf, Raja-ram candy, Orange ball candy. And then the dark balls that were hot and sweet. Damn they were good.

Oh, and do you guys remember. There used to be a 3 or 4 digit number that the telephone repair guys used to use. If you dialed those numbers and hung up the phone, the phone would start to automatically start ringing. Boy, sure abused that number to make fools out of lots of relatives and friends. Tons of fun.

ya i remember, but i forgot, 163? i dont remember. I fooled many relatives with that code. Bluff calls were so much fun, me and my cousins used to dial random numbers and just say goofy stuff, sometimes swear word and even call relatives and bother them. Those days our ohone was locked but we could dial anyways, we got crafty.

Bow n Arrow - Favourite timepass Guleli - haha those days were hillarious . Guchha - ah man wasted lots of money for this one. Dandi biyo - with village friends. Ghurra - i dont know if many of you are aware about it but it was fun game too . Dashain ko Bela - Langur Burja was fun to rip off freinds money.
As many mentioned that bluff call system dial four number in a while phone will ring itself used to be funny one when we were kids parents beat the shit out of me couples of time for that . Bann bhoj was one of the common thing among many kids back in those old days with dry foods from each persons house whoever want to go .
