Guy we are two friends planning to buy a mobile plan under shared (family) sheme. Let me tell you what we are looking for:

1. Shared minutes not lesser than 1500.
2. We would not want to pay too much for unlimited texting. However availability of limited texting would be absolutely preferable.
3. We would love to have unlimited or 2GB of data, however not at the  burden of having to pay 60$ extra (30$ each).
4. The scheme comes with two smartphones (touch screen, 3.2 pix, 3G feature, Wifi). We don't mind paying upto 100$ each for the cellphones.
5. The most important factor: Not willing to pay any more than 60$ each as the monthly bill inclusive of tax. We would be extremely happy if that would come down to 50$.
6: Gotto be GSM operators (T, AT&T) so that the phones can be sent to Nepal too.

Guys do let us know if u've got any smart ideas..And thanks a lot for going thru this post!!

PS: We currently under family scheme in Sprint and we pay 70$ (35 each) inclusive of tax.

Pokharako Keto,

You are asking for too much for too less. Let us know if you find something.

Best case, you might be able to get some discount for being a student (provided your school has some deal with ATT or TMob). ATT gives us 20% discount for our school. If you are not a student, there are other discounts for certain companies.

Better yet, forget family plan and go with individual prepaid, STRAIGHT-TALK from Walmart. You get Unlimited everything for $45 (the data plan is not quite unlimited, can't stream audio/video). But then the phone is not GSM.

Good luck.
