Just announced that the following countries are the host for the 2018 and 2022 FIFA World Cup.

2018: Russia
2022: Qatar

It seems like FIFA is trying to get other countries that never hosted before. First, it was South Africa. Now, Russia and Qatar.

Qatar hosting 2022 WC will be really good for South Asians, including Nepalese. A lot of jobs will be there to be filled.

Kudos to the decision of FIFA as it's clearly stated that FIFA want football to grow on the developing coutries rather than the developed one. I hope sooner or later Nepal will also get chance to organize some big tournaments.

I'm happy that Qatar got it over US. At least this will help to promote this game to the next level in Qatar  after hosting the world cup. However,  even if US had won the bid, it wouldn't have made any difference in the promotion of this game. Even after hosting 1994 world cup, nothing has changed here. They still prefer NFL, NBA, baseball, ice hockey and so on over soccer.

Good for Qatar. But how will the so called liberal countries' party animal survive there. It will indeed provide job opportunity to Nepal as well as other South Asian countries. Fair enough it is good for our region.
