First of,
Nobel Prize in Medicine for pioneering Ruitectomy:
Dr. Sanduk Ruit's Ruitectomy is a stitch-free simple surgical technique which allows cataracts to be removed safely without stitches through two small incisions.
Next , it is quick and low-cost which has made this treatment reach millions of people around the world. This part is especially relevant when estimated twenty percent of the world population live on less than one dollar a day. His humanity and altruistic work has underlined the value of humanity from North Korea to Nigeria. Thus, he should be awarded,
Nobel Prize for Peace too.
The Nobel Committee needs to ponder over this nominee before China decides to award the Confucius Peace Award to Dr. Ruit
though I am certain he has no ambition for such overtly politicized prizes. To him, the satisfaction, he gets when each of his patients smiles, cannot replace any fame or material prizes.
There are a very few human beings alive today worthy of being saluted, and he is one of them. May God bless him and his life.
