Friends,
I want to share a "तितो सत्य" of life here in the United Statess. Currently I am going to a school to get an associates degree in MLT. I am about to finish it. Right now I am doing my clinicals at a local hospital and they are so much willing to hire me there. A Human resource personnel summoned me in her office today and asked me why don't I apply and said that all the staffs are impressed with the way I work. Even if take an OPT, it will just be of a year for associates degree and when I tell them they may not hire me for such a short period of time. I told her that I am planning to go to a University soon, but she told me that I can even work evenings or weekends.
In this case, are there any chances that the hospital can make me work longer even after 1 year opt is over? Any suggestions? Anybody has gone through a similar situation? If I had a "हरियो पत्ता", I would have worked there and still continued my education.
कसैको क्लोसेटको कुनामा ढुसी परेर बसेको हरियो पत्ता छ भने यता फाल्दिने हो कि?
Please suggest!

Do as amricane said. Coz there is no way to extend that 1 yr opt you get from associate degree.
And few university offers cpt from the first semester, if that works go for it. But make sure those univeristy are genuine.

If you go to school, you can do CPT.. CPT can be done for as long as you are in school. One of my friends has been working for a company for three straight semesters (part time).. she will graduate this semester and will start her OPT.
I mean, it depends on the school, but most schools let you do an internship for multiple semesters as long as you fulfil the 12 credit requirement if you are a udergrad and 9 credits if you are a grad student.
Hope that helps.
