The so-called Prime Minister of an Indian protectorate, Bhutan- the so-called kingdom that had callously driven out thousands of its citizens as directed by its masters seated in New Delhi lands in Kathmandu, meets from the President to Prime Minister here and at the end of his three day stay organizes a press meet and most importantly declares that those driven out of his country were not his fellow countrymen.

To recall, beginning 1990 labeling its citizens of Nepali origin as anti-nationals the ruthless Bhutanese regime with the support of its Indian masters began driving out the Lhotshampas (Living in the South- southerners in Tibetan Language) towards Nepal.
By the end of year 1992, some 80,000 Bhutanese refugees were sheltering in UNHCR-administered camps in Nepal’s two south-eastern districts.
Interestingly, while Jigme Y Thinly- the handpicked Prime Minister of Bhutan was labeling citizens of his own country languishing in the eastern refugee camps of Nepal for decades and decades as ‘Refugees in the Camp’ but not Bhutanese Citizens, the so-called leaders of new Republic of Nepal had no time to deplore his statement rather they were involved in bitter mudslinging at each other. A word of shame should be enough.
Can there be a disrespect of this order to one’s own motherland? Perhaps not!
Thinley knew pretty well that Nepali leaders are also subservient to the same alien master that was protecting his ruthless regime back home, and thus he collected the courage to show disrespect to the host country and ultimately to his own nationals, claim observers.
“It was since then suspicion began brewing in the minds of Nepali citizens whether India was a real friend of Nepal or otherwise. The anti-India sentiment continues to grow in Nepal since India helped Bhutan to put those driven out Bhutanese citizens into Indian containers and pushed them en masse inside the Nepali territory”, observes add.
The movers and shakers of Indian politics need not organize expensive seminars in series in Varanashi or clandestine meet at PATNA to discuss what went wrong between India and Nepal, also claim observers. Just dwell into your past and present activities.
“Whether they had come all the way from Bhutan or not is a serious matter of investigation”, said Thinley at a press meet held at Hotel Yak and Yeti, Saturday April 16, 2011.
Quite cunningly Thinley also thanked Nepali regime for efficiently relocating those ‘Refugees in the Camps’ to third countries.
He also claimed in the course of his media interaction that involvement of third country in the refugee issue between Nepal and Bhutan was not needed. It was expected of Thinley to do justice to his master. Is Thinley a national of Bhutan?
