guys, need your help for a poor fellow of mine.
a friend i went to school with is considering coming to the States and she asked me about possibilities of work/study.
i'm a science guy and have no idea about accounting stuff. so, i need some help from bidwaans on sajha.
she's doing BBA (Business Administration) and is not sure whether she should complete her MBA and come here or come here right after she's done with BBA. she wants to come here after she's done with BBA and then do MBA. I don't know if that's possible financially, neither do I know if US colleges/universities accept students in their MBA program who completed BBA in Nepal. what should i tell her?
any suggestions would be helpful.

Thanks!

We think who ever goes to privet and science school  are the greatest, I have heard that talli many times in my live as well here in sajha, and it was an odd comment from your part.
Before I or we open my mouth , I would like to know how is he going to pay the tuition? This question should answer first, then we may come with some answer !
Well everybody is focusing on side job, you know where to we find a job without social security and how to get a driving license? May hurdle are infornt of us. We do not want to explain it and they are not doing their homewrok and we may hear the same utter, if I had known it , i have not stepped. Should we refer to gas station , how many gas station is run by Nepali? Even the supevisor is a Nepali guy, makes money out of them, filling a shortage form every now and then for forgory shortage and that will be his side money.
It would be nice if he has any back up plan not to go out of status in case he does not find a job ( it is illegal to work in us out side campus, does he know it , please ask him to read it ). How much surviving skill he has?  Just checking,  later we do not want him to check with an DR to prescribe Prozac .
Give him all information first and see if he is still interested? I mean , make him ready to climb mout everest without oxygen, then he is ready for any circumstances. Sorry for being upfront.

 gorkhali: it's not he, it's a SHE
yeah..it's freaking hard to earn and support your study here in the states, but still trying to see if there are any possibilities.
(I didn't understand much what you wrote about science/accounting people, anyways...thanks for taking time to write. I appreciate it.)

U.S. universities, of course, take BBA students from Nepal directly into their MBA program. No doubt, if it is a four year 4 year BBA program. However, students with 3 year BBA can also get admission. Also, it depends upon universities.  Unfortunately, there are very few scholarships available for MBA. On the other hand, it is very competitive. Therefore, if she ios thinking about applying without taking the GMAT test, make sure she will have funding sources. Otherwise she will have to look for average schools so that she is able to work outside remaining a full time student.

hey dude, the better idea would be join MBA after completing BBA at nepal. normally if she has 4 yrs that would be perfect bcoz 3 yrs bba at nepal are not fully credited and if she is trying to join MBA with 3 yrs BBA here, Most of the university gona make her to join PRE MBA. thats too boring and useless so its better to have 4 yrs bba and come here. secondly make sure she has GMAT. most of the university requires GMAT for MBA. and if she have good GPA and good score in GMAT , she can apply for graduate assistanceship if not she will have to work off campus being a full time and MBA isn't easy with being full time working off campus.. specially for girl.
