Hello everybody,
I am graduating this fall and I want to invite my parents and my in-laws together. Somebody raised concerns that it will be almost impossible for my in-laws to get visa. Is it true? Furthermore, what procedures should I follow to invite my parents and in-laws to US to attend my graduation? I would appreciate your advices.
Thanks

Right now, any people who are invited for graduation ceremony are not getting any visas. My two friends parents tried for the visa and both got rejected. Hope your parents would get the visa...

NOT AT ALL TRUE! I invited my inlaws and my parents, all of them got visa. Makesure you do not create any fake documents! Be HONEST! that is all. also make two separate letters of invitation for inlaws and your parents. GUD LUCK .

Thanks menmyself and kanchu,
By the way Kanchu, did you send just separate letters or other documents too? Did they apply for visa together or separately?

sparty- my parents (two) took visa date for one day and my inlaws(two) for another day, not that they wanted but because of conflict of schedule of two families. We are from ktm not reach though my dad and my father in law were working and our moms were house wife. as for property and source of income, we have house in ktm, rent is there and some savings not more than 10lakh in our case. both of our parents crossed 55. But even you are not from ktm, do not have property in ktm no need to panic, in same year one of my friends parents outside the valley also came for graduation. so if you be honest i do not see problem!! send me your specific sitution in email. i will help you out if you need more.
