I've been hearing about Ram Dev hunger strike in India and it is becoming pretty big. http://www.ekantipur.com/2011/06/08/top-story/ramdevs-health-deteriorates-as-fast-enters-fifth-day/335380.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+NFN_eKantipur+%28Kantipur+online%29
Can a government withstand a pressure like that? Thousands of people fasting to death unless their demands are met?

Parties won't be able to do hunger strike because of what you pointed out but the common citizen can. I think we have to stage a hunger strike in tundikhel or some area like that.
