We Nepalese need to watch this

All of us Nepalese in foreign soil need to watch this video and think about our fellow country men and womens. We were the fortunate ones and we are living a luxurious life here. You may not agree about the use of the word "luxurious" but yes we do have a far better life than the ones living back home. We left our country so that we can do something for ourselves but this video made me think "Is it worth it to fight for the pennies all your life so that you can drive a better car, have a better vacation, have a nicer home?" We Nepalese know our country is getting poorer and poorer every day and no body cares. No body does anything for the country and its citizen not government, not political parties, not foreign countries. We need to step forward and do something for our country no matter how small it is. Our brothers and sisters are struggling to live and cant even make it through. We are here working our butt off and being selfish. I do not appreciate the way I am living anymore (eventhough i have a descent life here). I dont think I can stay here and keep watching these kinds of news. My aim: If i can do something for the people back home no matter how tiny it is, i see a point to live here, otherwise I will go back to my country and struggle to improve somebody else's life. I dont think i can die with a guilt that I did nothing for my country when I could have done many things.

Nothing bad to make temple but if you help to build tuin or small belly brizes in Nepal, it will be million times important to Nepali than building temple in Newyork, washington DC or Virginia.

Please link the situation.

I don’t wanna be defending this, but I have seen similar comments just to often, not just in Sajha but everywhere else that I am compelled to say some words. Just the other day when a friend was asking for money to send another friend’s body home, one witty kid remarked that the money was best collected for his health insurance before hand. Yes, that’s true - but that didn’t happen..so move on and do something good now than lecturing and not doing anything.

How many times have you donated that extra dollar here in US? How many times have you spent it in booze and other meaningless items? Wouldn’t you be happy with an Old Navy short than buying that last one from Nordstorm? Fine you didn’t do that, but I am sure you could have saved your money in countless other vain stuffs..right? Then, instead of doing that couldn’t you have donated that very same money for a good cause back home? Instead of giving that extra coin to the homeless who showed up next to your windscreen, you could have bought some books for that poor kid back home?

Could’ve-would’ve-should’ve. List goes on. We can do many things, but we don’t and it applies to everybody. So, if somebody is doing something for a decent cause, don’t stop them and tell them to do a better job. We all are culprit of the “could’ve done better” guilt, mandir or charity-they earned that money and they have their say on what they wanna do.

Thanks for the comment. I am not a supporter of donating and building things. These things should be started from base and we would never become rich by getting donation. How much money we can donate to build a nation if the people from the base didn't start doing things? But no thing is in horizon, there should be a base. Means, change will not occur at a moment but it will occur at a duration. So, to add the moment and become a duration, sometimes, we need catalyst, probably, building a tuin or brize is a catalyst of time at this moment.

When I was working in Virginia, every body was egear and mentioning that we have this amount collected to build temple, can you please add more? A guy who doesn't have place to live, no guarenttee for work, they are still trying to get some money to built a temple. Definitely, I will go to a temple if it was built there but the temple didn't itself say anything about me. Ok, my mom and sisters want to go to Nepali Temple and if we have temple in every part of  USA, they will be happy. But the issue is more than that. I don't mean don't do that but if you want to do, there are better. I am not also suggesting people what to do or not to do. The person who had donated to temple is far smarter than me, that is why he can donate that amount. It is not for bad reason, he is doing good. But still, we are brave but we don't have means....? Ya, time and generation will passes, building a tuin or brize still have symbolic meaning and have a satisfaction for me. I can't donate anything, I am not big hearted but I am not bad  but there are better people in this world. They can do better things.

Not a single Mahabir Pun can not build the nation. It is a feeling. Probably lots of confusion in writing.

I do agree that we could do better things with the money; I just won't criticize anybody for donating money for a temple, church etc though.
Your heart is in the right place and hope when you become equally rich you will donate that moeny to the tuin project, I am sure you will.
