 Hello all,
I took a break from college since last semester due to financial reason. After taking break I came to Germany because I got an internship here. I told my International office that I'll be back in coming fall and they told me that I can only return after I clear my past financial dues and get a new I-20. So now I've cleared most, if not all of my dues(just few hundreds remaining which I told them I'll send it before I land in the states). However, my International advisor told me that to reopen my file in SEVIS dept. it'll take more than 30 days and its already late and I cannot return back by August 18th, 2011. Is it true that it'll take that long to reopen my file in SEVIS and send me a new I-20? Your

are you coming within 5 months of leaving states? if yes then reopenning the case might not take long..if it takes long and your outside of states for more than 5 months even your visa will be cancelled and you have to go back nepal to take new visa..so act quickly before time runs out..if its possible ask them if you can come back in new sevis ..but that have some academic consequences too. tal to ur DSO seriously dude
