Hello Friends,
I am 30 years old , currently working as a software developer. But i have no academic qualification in relative field. I have done 12 in management. Now I am thinking of applying to a university in minnesota or other place for studying in computer related academic program like CIS(computer information system). what is a good college and what are my chances and how about the process? Is SAT neccessary? Is my age simply doesn't allow or less possibilities for this age? Or if i have to apply through the consultancy then which one is the best in kathmandu?
Regards
Ramesh

age shouldn't be a problem as long as you have qualifications, i.e. your +2 certificate, TOEFL/IELTS/SAT, etc. if I were you, i'd look at some colleges first and contact them stating your interest of pursuing undergrad education. tell them what you've been doing during these years (between your +2 and now). i'm sure they'll let you know what you need to do.
good luck!
and stay away from consultancies, you can do all on your own and will save tons.

There are people who have gone back to high schools at age of over 60. When I was doing undergrad here we had plenty of students who looked over 30 years old. Your decision to complete undergrad is commendable and I suggest not to waste a moment and enroll asap.

Thank you so much saathiharu Stiffler, sparty, maxpayne, jantare1 for the suggestions. I really appreciate that. Yes, like you have suggested above i ain't gonna spend a single minute now. I am preparing both IELTS and SAT. I am still looking for the right college. Hopefully i will find one soon. If any queries i will be post in here. The only thing i am worrying about is the US embassy. I have seen people been rejected for absolutely NO REASONS too. Let's hope for good things ahead. Good-luck....TC
