Hello Sajha Folks,

I was wondering if anyone has gone through similar problem as me. I graded in 2008, worked under OPT and H1B and then going to school now (full time) in MS Computer Science. Since I was in H1B, I had to apply for change of status. My intent was going to school full time instead of doing online degree, etc. However, after filing my petition, I got a RFE from the immigration services asking for :

1) residency in Nepal and how I am maintaining that.
2) H1B Pay stubs
3) Extended (postponed F1 date on I-20)

I got following documents from Nepal:

1) Parents property paperworks
2) GPO (that I have been maintaing that)
3) My own bank accounts from Nepal.
4) Parents bank accounts
5) A letter stating that I will return back to my home country after completion of my education
6) Latest H1B related pay stubs
7) Extended I-20

My case is under review now. Do you guys have been in the same situation? I still have the employer willing to take me back.
Thanks for your info.

I mean its your call .  In this economy, I have not seen any of my frens changing their status from H1 to F1. Classes can be taken online too. Even more your employer might have some help for you to take some  part time classes  if you  talk to the HR!
