When you wake up in the morning (or noon or late, depending on your schedule), what motivates you? What drives you forward?
Is it the fat paycheck you're likely to receive? Is it your parents? Your beatiful wife and children? Your desire to accomplish something?

In general I'd say my family (friends come and go but family is there), fat paycheck etc
However, things that propels me:
curiousity about the future (it's quite uncertain and that's what makes it interesting)

(1) The pursuit of happiness motivates me. I am a pretty happy person but it still takes a bit of work to be happy. Happiness doesnt always follow me but I always follow it.
(2) The feeling that I can do something great and make a difference motivates me.
(3) Money, to a certain extent, motives me because I need it to make other things happen.

Pretty surprised that none of you has bothered to mention your significant other, parents....
To quote a buddy of mine "When you see a pretty woman like her, you actually wish to work hard and become something".
What's your idea of happiness, Violet? fancy cars? fancy jewelleries? $$?

hahahaha. I liked your answer, Sanju.baba. It used to be the same case for me about 4 months back because Monday used to be my only soccer day of the week. I'm really glad that things have changed recently and I'm enjoying playing the game 5-6 times a week.
Needless to say, I watch for the clock to tick over 5 O'Clock so that I could go home, grab a bite or relax for a bit and then play soccer.
As for myself, I'm completely lacking motivation at the moment. There's a genuine lack of a driving force. I don't slack and I do work hard but even then, I simply don't seem to have the desire to become or achieve something significant.
