Well,
Try to see the free memory you are left with, try to kill almost evey app befor the install.
here is one more thing you can try: - delete the file /data/data/com.skpe.raider.service.bg.a restart the phone and try the installation again.
you can use terminal to access to that file.

On skype forum i found http://community.skype.com/t5/Android/Can-t-install-skype-on-samsung-infuse/td-p/20044 Looks like either memory issue or a buggy version dat u downloaded.

la sathi haru yaha haru ko sallaha sujhaw ko lagi dherai dhannyabad. But unfortunately none of these resolves the issue. I will try to find help from Customer Service, if they are able to do so! Thanks anyways!

Reset to original factory setting. Make sure you back up apps and pics. I know its not a best of the solution but it should work.
