GoogleDrive: its open to public from today 04/23/12 (today) and may not be ready for all the users.
To use this feature, several users might have to wait for a while (Just like other google services fo ex google voice, google itself). I dont know if you remember that - even to open a google a/c, google referral was necessary initially :-)

Who owns your files on Google
Drive?
Dropbox and Microsoft's SkyDrive allow you to retain your copyright and IP rights to the work you upload to the service, but Google Drive takes everything you own.

intelligentguy, I got my box cloud service worth 50 GB for free just a month ago or so, the only take was that I had to be an android user, of which I am. I just checked the link and found out that offer is over and for same 50GB, they're asking now $20. I felt lucked out when I saw their pricing. But they're still offering 5 GB if that's not offending.
Link below:
http://www.box.com/pricing/
Here is how I use my box.com online storage.
1. I've android devices like phone and tablet
2. I use computer both at home and college or anywhere.
The biggest benefit of having cloud is you don't really have to worry about your information carrying on portable USB storage.
I upload information and data on the cloud and boooom, it's all over the places. I can access it from anywhere. That's the beauty of cloud services. I don't know how Google Drive works, but on box.com , it's really intuitive, just 'drag-n-drop' right on the browser. I've app on my phone and tablet, if I've music uploaded on the cloud, I can play right off the bat from any devices or computers.
I haven't come up with another benefits yet, but this syncability is extremely helpful to me. I don't know if this is what you meant to ask
