Hi guys,

I am on OPT right now (valid until the end of this year) and I am wondering how soon should I apply for extension. Is it 3 or 4 months before the expiration of the regular OPT? I would appreciate if you share your experience.

Thanks

As far as i know, its 3 months before the expiration.
Can you also check with your International Student Office regarding:
  • what documents do they need? ( For ex- Employer Address, Everification code, Letter from your current Employer/Consultant etc)
  • When is the right time to apply for OPT extension?
