The thing is I found a job which requirements are

I have to monitor windows and mac servers 24/7 and worked as web server adm,I should hava knowledge of microsoft exchange and active directory. Itz kind of small finacial bussiness where there will be 10000 users accessing to their server and they want someone who can be there 24/7 if required, they knows there wont be any prob but incase if that happens they want someone who can trouble shoot on supervisor guidance acting remotely .

They dont care abt degree as long as one has 2 yrs exp in microsoft exchange and active directory.
others are manage email server, anti-spam server, message archieve server, creating new account, domain struc etc.

I do not want to join consultancy as job deadline is very near.

About 12 years ago I left programming for good.

I had worked as a full time programmer for 4.5 years then and had advance certificate plus a very good exposure in the language (PL/SQL). But once I got to the senior programmer level I started seeing my resume being rejected for new projects. I later found out that I was competing against Indians with 7-8 years of experience in the same. Sure, PL/SQL was already about 8-10 years old, but it hadn't gained the popularity back then and it was hard to believe these FOBs had 7-8 yrs experience in the language in US. My recruiter friend even admitted that the resumes were heavily padded. That was when I decided to leave the industry.

Please know that you falsely pad your resume, the contents will come to hunt you as one day you have to actually do the work.

Is it just me who is disgusted with all this?

kiddo I am not putting 12 yrs only 2 yrs and 2 yrs in job wont be difficult to handle, that was just my thinking, i dont know, really dont know, since its not programming, it wont be difficult to handle was my perception, its a desk top job basically, but if you cant TROuble shooT when required then u r done.
thx
