You can go back for study, you have to apply for extended stay: Finish your degree first.

Sumit, Welcome to the US. Which state you at? Stay in whatever state you at for 1 year. You will then be the resident of that state. In between that start looking for the state universities in your state and apply to couple of universities. Give SAT and TOEFL as soon as possible. After you apply, you can fill out FAFSA and get so much of federal and state grants. Right now, set an appointment with one of the admission advisers in your state university. You can directly go to the office of admissions and talk to the receptionist that you want to talk to a admission counselor. They will provide you all the information about your credits from Nepal and will provide you necessary steps you need to take. They are very helpful. Good luck and best wishes.

@Sumit... California School system is very nice. But must of the UC system (University of California System) do not accept lower division transfer, meaning if you have less than 60 credits they will not admit you. Also, UC-Berkeley and UCLA are very tough schools to get admission in. So, it is better you find out how many credits you have. If nothing works, you can start from community college and transfer to a 4-year college. But my suggestion for you is: do not go back to Nepal to complete your studies. You can almost get a free education with your permanent resident status. If UC system doesn't give you admission, you can also look at Cal state system. Also, you don't really need to stick in California. There is a western student exchange program where you can get lower tuition in neighboring states like Arizona, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, etc. In fact, you have so many options. Right now, go to the UCLA office of admissions and take to one of the admission counselor.
