LONDON, June 27: A London-based court on Friday jailed a Nepali migrant for four years and as many months on the charge of forging documents.
Following the hearing that lasted for 11 weeks at Harrow Crown Court in London, the court convicted Bhandari that he had submitted fake documents including forged pay slip and receipt of high fee taken for applying Tier 1 visa which is also categorized as high skilled visa.
The evidences available at the court showed that he had also taken a hefty amount of money from various students.
People who know him from very close say, Bhandari fell into the trap due to bad companionship. Kiran Neupane, who ran a restaurant for nine years with Bhandari, says, “He is very helpful by nature but bad friendship led him to this trap.”
Born in Dhading 36 years ago, Bhandari had arrived in Britain on student visa when he was 22 years old then. The association with the bad people led him to this trap.
In October 2012, London-based immigration department had arrested Bhandari on the charge of forging documents and helping them with visa extension by establishing a fake company. He had been released on bail immediately after that.
