We certainly could've gotten a better neighbor. No other landlocked country in the world is as restricted as Bhutan and Nepal in terms of access to port etc.

However, it sure is our and our leader's fault that this is happening. We are pathetically dependent upon India in every way, including getting reliefs and aids which obviously get misappropriated by our leaders. We have no strength nor interest to confront the neighbor.

Btw, neighbors can be enemy.

There has been ideas floating around about how India can flood all terai belt and make a huge reservoir to provide water for farms and people in India. For that idea they want one Madhes, which will eventually become free madhes and the reservoir madhesh for India. All the so called madhesi leaders will be compensated well for that. THis 1600 KM road along side the border will just serve as a Damn to store all the water in India and they will channel the water as they need it in Bihar and rest of India.

They have created Terrorists like C K Raut and Prachanda for this purpose alone. This terrorist has quit his good paying Job in US to participate in destabilizing Nepal. People talk about sending prachanda to Hague but it seems like C K and Prachanda are the agents of Hague.

The other interests from Bible huggers and the USA itself who is scared of India and China taking the lead in economy wants our country as distorted as possible. I am not sure how long Nepali can fight this but these are pretty big forces going against Nepal and Nepali people at the moment.

This is the law of nature: Big fish always eats the small fish. So, you better have some invincible defense mechanism system to protect yourself. Nepal must understand this.

Rana regime ruled in Nepal for 100 years. What did they did for Nepal? Did they brought "No Child Left Act" for educating all Nepali children? They created mansion and schools for themselves. Nepotism started, chakari pratha started. These were the seeds of present Nepal. We must focus on small children RIGHT NOW if we want to see a progressive and developed Nepal. The whole education system of Nepal is like a rotten tomato. And a rotten tomato will always infect other tomatoes and also make it rotten.

being honest, despite living in the most dangerous city in the states, I feel more safe than back home in NEPAL.
So I ain't planning to go to NEPAL anytime soon.
