As bad as the blockade is....i hope this will make nepal realize that...no matter how much nepali people talk bad about indian...nepal is nothing without india. I had this debate a long time back with my cousin about how nepal can't survive without india.
Hopefully this will make people see that the country must be self reliant and not dependent. But if nepal wants to be dependent......don't bite the hand that feeds you.

don't bite the hand that feeds you
- what if the hand comes to take away the organs functions of your system?
- should I continue eating from this "poisonous hand"?
- "BITE"? Please elaborate how am I biting your hand when I try to fix my system without the help of your "parasitic hand"?

Nepal needs to realize and be self sufficient they need to create some biofuels programs or search for alternative energy within Nepal so that they don't need to depend on Indian oil and that will also create more employment opportunities for Nepalese ppl than going to Saudi

When you say nepal will learn,,which nepal is it? Is it pahadi nepal or madhesi nepal? Is it kathmandu and a few other cities or is it places like rolpa? Is it the nepal that belongs working poor and middle class(both pahade and madhesi/terai) or the one that belongs to elites, black marketers, politicians, gangsters, dhoti leaders?

Seriously speaking, does a place like kathmandu need the number of vehicles it currently has to put up with? Public transportation is understandable, but so many taxi and privately owned cars just dont seem justifiable for a place like ktm. In ktm can one really reach any place any faster in a car than on a bicycle? Or we need most of that fuel from India only for private car owners to maintain status symbol and traffic jam? If there were not so many cars would india's blockade would have meant anything?? Perhaps for lpg shortage it still will.

What nepal really needs is change in attitude and culture.. There is serious lack of respect for people with skills. Those with money and power are respected more than some humble poor but skilled people..

Well enough ranting.. Will anyone be surprised if upendra yadav becomes a minister again / the opportunist politicians give him a seat as a minister to get their own agenda rolling?? Having seen the same kind of BS repeated so many times, now when i read articles like..khabardar neta janata le thik parnechan or nepal will learn ,, i cannot help laughing.. Sounds like some is writing sth to kill time..

Ganeshman said it very well that nepali janata are bheda.

The recent massive near 8 recter scale earthquake which shook the whole nation and did much damage couldn't teach Nepal (just look at the state of use or misuse of donations), how could this dhoti blockade be expected to teach Nepal any more? Much of the houses in Nepal are still in the utter disrepair, with people still living in tents!

The sad truth is that there is a grave lack of love (unconditional love) in Nepal. Nepali people pride Nepal as being the birthplace of Sidhartha Gautama, but it seems many Nepali people are limited to selfishness and callousness.
Nepali people seem to only care about themselves and their family members.
There is racism in Nepal whether people like to admit it or not.
Nepali people seem to only care about their property and not about the public roads or infrastructure (where they dispose garbage at will, spit everywhere, etc.), or the environment.

While this doesn't apply to all, yet one can go on and on.
