I have been applying for immigrant visa to usa my wife holds green card and now i am in final stage and i have filled up my ds 260, i had been living in london since 2005 and i was living legally but i lived illegally since 2010 and i was deported in 2013, i have clearly specified that in my application and my ban to uk ends this februaary(i was banned for 2 years while i was deported) i am wondering if this record of mine plays any negative role in my visa processing to USA, has anyone had this similar situation? it would be really helpful if any suggestion experience can be heard as my priority date is in april and my interview is coming soon.

Thank you fdpower for the info, i had to mention UK as i had to give my last 10 years adress and work info and on top of that i need to take my old passports to interview as well, and also it said that lying in application is a federal crime, apart from living illegally i have no any other criminal records and i assume as i am applying for immigrant visa that should not hamper it but like you said apple/oranges gore haru ko k bhar, j huncha aba bichar garna parla.

Staying illegal is big crime here in US, even though there are millions of illegal immigrants . It did ask you to mention your last 10 year address, work and as far as i know , its just ask for dates you were there. Why you have to mention that you were illegal or so? Does your passport has stamp that says deported ? If they ask you tell them but don't tell them what they haven't asked you anything. I really dont think UK shares travel history to US without any reason.

dear facebook thanks for the concern, the reason i cannot lie is i need to provide PCC (police clearence certificate) from the countries i have stayed more than a year and in my PCC from Uk police clearly states that but i am hoping as i am immigrating to USA this should not be a concern as i am coming there to stay permanently, if i was applying for tourist or student visa this should had been a concern as they would suspect me to stay illegal again. i do not have any other criminal records though, i would love to hear from someone who has similar experience, but in my passport they have not stamped anything in UK or Nepal
