anybody has suggestions/recommendations for companies for life insurance?

Ok . there are 3 basic life insurance, i m not sure which you are looking for .

1. whole life insurance : this is total scam so don't fall for it .

2. term life insurance : this is the cheapest and most common life insurance people buy from marketplace . for a healthy 30 year male it cost around 50 dollar/month for 2 million, 20 years policy . so , if you die within 20 years of active policy , it pays your family a sum of 2 million . this is only suitable if you have family to look after your death . if you are planning to die single , this is not good for you .

3 . disability insurance : in the event of you being disable , company will pay you the sum you have insured on monthly basis . say 5000 , 10000 , 15000 each month . this is bit costly . for a healthy 30 year male it cost around 200/month for 10, 000/month benefit . you have to visit doctor once a year to make sure you are disable and you need benefit . once insured and disable , they have to pay the sum insured until you die . no question asked .

@edv, I didn't mean to ask about the types of insurances albeit I appreciate your effort. Same deal with how to get insured. I can literally google it and fill up forms of several companies whose agents will be eager to give me a quote.

I sought firsthand experience...not just coverage per se, but also, processes of getting reimbursed and what not.

So let me prephrase, does anyone have a term life policy from a certain company? Can you care to share your experience?

Ok , i have 3 mill and my spouse has 2 million 20 year term insurence from north american and mass mutual respectively . I pay around 80 and she pays may be 73. Both in good health condition and non smoker . We applied through same website and an agent guieded us through.
