reath of fresh Air of Revolution can be felt all over the country induced by revolutionary group of Nepal (Nepal Maoist party). With a true motivation to end class difference NMP has started an armed uprising dated from 1996 ( still ongoing ) starting from remote and most rural part of the country ROLPA.

With the history of struggle simliar to CUBA's Revolution, NMP has proven to be true mordern day leftist armed with marx-lennin-mao philoshophy and promises to change life of each and every alive human being who have been ignored, surpressed and rejected because of his/her social class.

With all the support and respect that I have for ... NMP, marx-lenin-mao, cuban revolution ... I raise question to myself , Will it work if NMP overthrow the current Goverment????? Will the country with such a poor economy condition be able to survive against imperialist of the world (esp US)????? Can NMP run the country after fighting in woods for years ??????? OR is it going to end like in CUBA??????? After revolution ,who, can Nepal trust, Even USSR turned in the case of cuba(all the secret deals made with US)???????????

jainepal just a question...

do u actually believe the true motivation of NMP is to end class difference? If that is so why all the atrocities being carried out?tonnes of civilians being killed?..i for one dun really believe in Communism, idea is great..but some great ideas are just great ideas which can never be carried out in the real world...in this case communism...the world is just too "screwed" for it to work..

yap we need to bloody overthrow this ghus khanney goverment(and eradicate the whole freakng corruption)..but NMP?urghh i have me doubts,,they are just the same...or maybe worse...

that was me thought anyways..
jai nepal!

i concur with dananah and with kalebhut who responded to a duplicate thread on the same topic. I just want to add that no-one has any right to take away someone else's life, for whatsoever reason. Especially for an outdated and impractical ideology whose failures are exemplified in the bloody pages of modern history. I am thinking of the millions killed in vain in the former ussr, china, south america and various parts of asia. We need to bring an end to senseless bloodshed of our fellow countrymen. The people who suffer are always the poor. With this so called people's war, its' really the poor who have suffered the most. There is so much more to say, and i will probably get back to this when i have more time. jainepal88, if you want to go back to the jungles, be my guest. but live and let live.

kalebhut,Zalim singh, Dananah ;;;;;;;

Opinion towards political situation in Nepal from u guys definitly make sense and might be true also. And I personally Respect your thoughts in this subject.

Now here what i have to say:

I refuse to live like a DOG who is constantly waiting to be feed by the imperialist and capitalist ...
I refuse to be blindfolded towards the problems that Nepal has been facing due to paracites in the higher power ripping off the country...
It's 2061 ,, Way ahead of most the country just according to our calender,,, it's almost 16 years that our country got it's democracy,,,,,,,,,, DO U STILL TRUST THOSE RULING PARTY PARACITES IN NEPAL,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, if u do be my guest and some day we all will be under INDIA begging for a better life.....
About the innocent civilians deaths,,,,, What ever media says is true in all the cases...... i want to laugh out loude,,,, What about the death of those poor poeple who picked -up guns because your current and past GOVERMENT did not put books in their hand instead filled-up their desire for physical needs....

About all the bloodsheds that u guys are takling about didnot happen just because people went crazy to kill others , it happened to protect peoples own dignity,, It happened to protect your country against the evil empire( u know who i mean),, Do u know why communism is such a scary and bad word,,,, beacuse your media made it,,, during mid-20th century wipe-out and bad media influence over communism happened because USA couldnot use natural resources of communist country and couldnot make them slaves( word slave have been changed to working-class at this time to sound better) ...

I hold our political paracites reseponsible for condition of our country today because of which we had to come to USA to study, work, try to make a better living and live as a DOG.

Thanks for thinking about your country,
JaiNepal.

jainepal88, bro u r right, IF America doesnt like anything, She Makes sure no one else in this world will likes it too, but thats..another story...

Jainepal88 i very much agree with you, whole Mess is our country is created coz of our own goverment, if goverment had just put force in education then this situation then this scence would have never appeared..no people could have been brainwashed, no they would have learned to pick up guns..i think Rana Sasan was much more better then this Democracy, we have...(on a personal note, all this fkin big buildings where big BANks and OFfices are held right now, were build by Rana's ...if Rana's hadnt done that much yii mujji mantri haru le paral ko jhopdi ma rakhthee office haru) SO SO MUCH COORUPTION..GREED....SELFISHNESS..dhutt..i dont konw how nepal is gonna heal thru all this...as some say: " go bless america", but plz dont curse nepal :)

but jainepal88 u do know that Real Communism Philosphy has never been activated in any country...like our BRO Dannah said, its a good idealogy but wont wrok in real life.. all of us human are greedy, all of us are selfish..so I say CAPitalist.. Society ROCKS!!

DWI, maybe its not of ur interest whats happening in the country, but i belive most of us who are Nepali feel this is imp! :)

Mr Confused,

Trust me, a little research on your part before you come here and vent all your frustration solely on the present "mantris."

May be the Ranas built huge buildings and all that, but who were they built for? At whose expense were they built?

Also, read your post again. You contradict yourself. You say Rana Sasan was better than the present (by present I assume you mean the pre-October 18 (?) and after 1990). In what sense? You say investment in education would have averted the present scenario. Mind enlightening us exactly how many schools were built during the Rana regime? For whom were they built?

Is peace under the point of a gun your definition of a good saasan?

And you say, "Capitalist society rocks." I wonder what your definition of capitalism is. But as far as I know privatization was not a norm during Ranas, not even during Panchayat.
---

Btw, if you still do not question the motivation of the Maoist and actually have faith on the Maoist ideology, all I can say is I tend to think of you as either a comedian or somebody who needs serious help with health. Of course, assuming you are not saying you support Maoism merely out of frustration.

Mero ek sukaa.

Hare Shiva Confused, kich kich garna bhandaa paile mero posting ta raamrai padhauna yaar.

There are two things I have said:
1) You contradict yourself with regard to investment in education and building schools.
2) There was peace during Rana time does not necessarily imply their saasan was *good*.

Where have I made a comparison between Rana regime and the multi-party system?

(Actually, for long term, I tend to think present chaos is better than the Rana-style peace, but that's completely another tree, another book. The point is that you are responding to a thing not in my posting.)

-------
Additional question marks and upper case letters do not make your argument stronger. So please calm down, think and post -- to me, it's the logic that matters, not emotions.

Thanks,

I do not know which one was better.. but I want to add this..

When they were building Singh Darbur.. there was massive shortage of "Daal" and "Sutkeri ko Khana," because Ranas comsumed those foods to build buildings.. and not to mention that it were Ranas who first started depositing money outside Nepal.. not to mention Ranas killed their own cousins thinking that they might be threat ( I am talking about ( I forgot his name) the guy who made 'gun' and was poised by Rana Primeminister).. and I am not sure about that word peace.. becuase I am pretty sure that in Rana regime there were not enough educated people who could diffrentiate their rights with animals.. and thus have no sense of peace or anything like that..

And My personal view.. is that no peace.. anywhere in the world .. has been achieved under barrel of gun.. try Sri Lanka.. take many examples.. you can make people quite using guns but not win peace and their heart...

If you were to look at historical facts you will see in the last 100 years the countries that have sucessfully transfered themself form 3rd tier countries (like nepal) to 1st or 2nd tier contries had some form of authoritarian government to start with. Look at Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, China, singapore to name a few. All these contries have been able to develope to more democratic style of government but they all started with authoritarian regimes. Of course china and in some ways singapore have not completed their transformation yet but they are on their way. The lesson here is that reforms can be quicker with authoritarian government assumming they actually take responsibility to improve contries conditions like the list of countries I had mentioned earlier. There is no red tape so to speak. Situation in nepal has gotten pretty bad if you were to look at things collectively. Education system has failed, currption is rampant, economy is not in great shape, pollution is a problem, agricultural production is dwindling and people with some education are leaving the country for other opportunities. Basically nepal needs a lot of reform and quickly. When I say quickly I mean within 20 years or so to move in the right direction. Right now there is no one in the govt. with such capabilities to carry out much needed reforms. Political situation is not stable nor are there many educated people running the govt. In last 14 years we have had like 14 different govt.'s and with such instability no progress can be maintained. Bottom line is we need change. We need someone that is tough, educated, compassionate, and some one with a vision to lead the government. We need to radically change our constitution, do away with old treaties with other contries that are not mutually beneficial, and we need to focus our energy in improving education system. All this may not be possible within a party system that we currently have and with current leaders. Democracy is the future and we do need party people that can be held responsible by the people that they serve. Right now we are no where near that goal.!!!!! (I am too lazy for good english so ....oh well)

M.P

i think you have problem reading, i was comparing Rana Sasan to this Democracy we have in NEpal...

read AGAIN :"i think Rana Sasan was much more better then this Democracy, we have"

see that "THEN THIS"...

defination of Then =used after but to qualify or balance a preceding statement: The star was nervous, but then who isn't on the first night of a new play.
source dictionary.com

defination of This = "Used to refer to the present event, action, or time: said he'd be back before this"
source dictionary.com

i never said Rana Sasan was good or best, i only said it was better than THEN THIS democracy we have right now...

"You say Rana Sasan was better than the present (by present I assume you mean the pre-October 18 (?) and after 1990). In what sense? "
---i think i told you what i mean by better than the present...on my earlier post..if you still want to know what i mean then read the above post again..

Additional question marks and upper case letters do not make your argument stronger. So please calm down, think and post -- to me, it's the logic that matters, not emotions.

BRO/SIS for your additional question..Here is my brief answer, ThaTs how i Write and thats my style..."dont hate the player HaTe the game" , this Is sajha And I Dont Think they HAve any rules on engLish grammer or how TO WRITE...so worry abt how u write, not HOW I WRITE :)

....hope that helps you understand, if you still have any questions please fell free to post it out here..

Ok, Confused, my last shot:

Allow my poor English here to say this to you for the last time. That "There was peace during Rana time does not necessarily imply their saasan was *good*" was what I said. I never said you said it.

Of course, you can go on and on, misquoting people, to prove your point and assume nobody is understanding what you are saying.

That's all I have to say. I am not interested in spending more time trying to convince you with my point. Perhaps we can have another discussion in some other thread -- where I will be better able to understand you.

Have a good night,
M.P.

Btw, there is a difference between THEN and THAN. I think you meant to use THAN, not THEN. Next time you use dictionary.com to find the "defination" of a word, make sure you spell it correctly. I am aware that you might find even this comment offensive -- my apologies for being picky. :)
