During the midst of the killings of innocent, hard working and loyal Nepalese workers, I came across some really interesting facts about Islam. It would be safe to say that Islam has been one of the most strict, violent and at times trouble causing religion of our times.

Here are the facts:

By Peter Perlso

Facts:

Of all islamic nations/states, only 2 do NOT have capital punishment (death penalty for crime).

Flogging and stoning are still common punishment in islamic countries.

The punishment for homosexuality is death by stoning, or in Afghanistan, having a stone wall toppled over you.

Worship of an other religion than Islam is not permitted in some islamic countries. In all countries, where it is permitted, non-moslems are however treated as second class citizens, without equal legal rights, and often shunned/isolated by the local islamic population.

The punishment for rejecting Islam (converting to another religion) is death.

Practise of Christianity in Saudi Arabia is forbidden. Importing Christian bibles into the country is illegal.

In islamic countries, females are required to wear veils and long gowns (burka) when in public.

In Iran, the punishment for violating the female dress code, is being cut in the uncovered areas with razor blades. Furthermore, Iran has a secret police to enforce islamic law and repression of females.

Under islamic law (sharia) , a woman cannot get a divorce easily. A man, however, can get a divorce merely by saying "I want a divorce" three times.

The Qu'ran encourages killing of "infidels" (non-moslems). As of late, especially Jews have been the target of this dogma.

According to the Qu'ran, any moslem who dies for his faith, is rewarded in the afterlife with 72 virgins.

According to numbers from the US state department, 97% of all terrorists are moslems.

Osama Bin Laden was (yes, he is dead) an islamic fundamentalist - when did you last see a christian or jewish fundamentalist doing what he and his like have done?

Jihad - the holy war - is called the "sixth pillar of Islam". Hence, holy war (against infidels/non-islamists) is a duty you have, if you are a devout moslem.

November 2002: The Miss World Contest in Nigeria was cancelled and moved to London, because an article in a local paper (quote: "...the contestants are beautiful enough for the prophet (Mohammed) to marry...") incited local moslems to run rampant, kiling Christians and burning down churches. More than 200 were killed in the hostilities.

Wherever there are moslems in the world, there are discord and hostilities. Kashmir, Indonesia, Israel, Eritreia, Nigeria, East Timor, European monorities (in form of a pronounced overfrequency of crime among moslem immigrants in Europe), Algeria ... the list goes on.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the home of Islam, is the biggest consumer of young women, principally from the Phillipines. Every year in the KSA, thousands of woman disappear - never to been seen again.

Thats just wrong. TO know the essence of any relegion, read the holy books. Wasnt Hitler and Mussolini the greatest villians in the history of mankind? It is always the fundamentals that give every religion bad name. The whole idea is that if one is fundamental, that person is lost from the reality. The idea about existence of being is that nobody is perfect, that is why there is distortion or deviance in everything that exists. TO follow onething without knowing the other thing is ignorance.
