Ex-Nepal minister in TN to protest seer arrest

Chennai, November 23: The former Finance Minister of Nepal Ravindranath Sharma was among those who had attended the BJP?s public meeting in Chennai to condemn the Kanchi Acharya?s arrest.

In a brief address in Hindi, Sharma said, ?It is our view that the Sankaracharya should get justice through a free and fair trial. Though everyone is equal before law, the manner in which he was arrested and treated is reflective of a lawless action.

I am hopeful that he will be released soon and the Hindus will feel liberated.?
