Once Japanese Sport Council proposed Nepal Sports Council to organize a Boat racing competition in Bagmati River. The Players were selected for the same. The players were scheduled to go for a period of one years for practicing and learning new skills needed for competing with the Japanese boat racing team. After few months of practice session, one trial race was scheduled. The race started from Tilganga and the finishing line was Balkhu. The race started................ result......... Nepali team hardly reached Sankhamul while the Japenese team finished the race. It was a matter of big worry for the Nepalese officials. They wanted to scrutinize the reasons that led to the shameful result in favour of Nepalese team. A high level committe was formed and finally the report was published. The summary of the report was, in Japanese team there were eight participants out of which one was the team captain directing rest of the seven rowers(Players). In Nepalese team there were exactly the same number of participants but out of those eight, seven were captains directing the single rower. The high level committe thus advised the Nepalese Sport Council to distribute the responsibilitly among the players as seven captains were not needed. After few more months the second trial race was held. Result was exactly the same as it was before. It was very much frustrating for the Nepalese officials as they had changed the combination of the participants as it was in the first trial. The committe was once again formed. The committe revealed the fact that in Japanese team there were once again seven rowers and one captain directing them. In Nepalese team, there were two managers, two chef-de-missions , two captains, one vice captain; all directing the lone rower. Once again the committe advised the sports council to change the combination of the players as time for the final competition was nearing and only one trial race was left. After few more months, the final trial race was organized. To every ones surprise, the result of the race was exactly the same as it was in the two previous races. It was really unbearable for the Nepalese officials as they had done a lot of change in the responsibility among the players. Once again the commitee was formed to scrutinize the flaws. The committe worked on to find the reason(s) of the sub standard performance of the Nepalese team. The committe after the toiling investigation published the report. The report concluded that the distribution of responsibility among the players was perfect as there was one team manager, one chef-de-mission, one coach, one assistant manager, one assistant coach, one captain and one vice captain all directing the lone rower. So the conclusion was drawn that despite one year of the training period the player (which was the lone rower in the team) could not perform well, he is inefficient and hence should be kicked off the team...
