Really, IF ji... you would label being concerned an "overreaction"?

my apologies.. maybe I overreacted.. its a legitimate concern on the part of Bideshi ji. Please do check, cross check, verify the information you get before you go. I take back my previous/eaerlier statement.

You termed it an "overreacting" so swimmingly.
And I would imagine bideshi's concern/(over)reaction as natural as 'breathing'.

Pardon me IF ji, in your 'action' to bideshi's reaction, I for one see an "overreaction", verily.

IndisGuise:)

Just go, man you are the least interesting guy in KTM, Nepal right now. Aba, bhagya jogya ko kura chahi jaha, jahile pani lagu hunchha. Bekarko tension liyera... Baru make sure your flights are not cancelled before you leave, etc.
If the flights are cancelled while on the way, just enjoy the extra vacation days, too. You have a very good excuse, now.

Yo, bideshi,

Consider purchasing travel/trip insurance. It might be worth it, as there could be a "ripple effect" on flights due to the TIA closure. Make sure that the insurance covers flight cancellations/delays. The cost is usually based on the amount pre-paid (airfare, hotel accommodations) as well as on age. I reckon you'd have to pay around $50 for insurance--how much will you have to pay to change an uninsured ticket??? $100 at least, in most cases. Contact your travel agent, credit card company, and the Web. Bon Voyage!!!

bideshi, I got a call about an hour ago from someone at Bangkok airport getting ready to board a Thai Airways flight to TIA. Looks like the airport is open again. You can do a little research on the web to find travel insurance, or just contact your travel agent or credit card company. One option is to type in www.google.com, hit "Enter," then type in "travel insurance" in the search box, hit "Enter," and, finally, click on some of the options your search comes up with. Sorry, but I'm not going to do it for you. Good luck, and have a safe trip.

sojoketa KNOWS, of course, that this appears under the headline of his linked article:
Tue Feb 1,10:27 PM ET

In other word's, that's OLD NEWS. TIA is open, y'all. If you have CURRENT proof to the contrary, please provide it.

Just called to Thaiairways office at EL SEGUNDO, CA and they informed that their flights have been resumed between Bnagkok and Kathmandu. I was a bit concerned as my wife will be flying from Kathmnadu to Bangkok to LA by Thai air tomorrow. Hope travellers won't have trouble, particularly flying to and from TIA once these regular flyers resume their flight.
