All the media including internet, telephone, fax etc. are closed in Nepal. I know it would not be a problem for general public in Nepal, even though I am bit worried since I could not talk with my family members. In this difficult time too, we have this wonderful forum where we can share our feelings. Thanks Sajha. I am a regular viewer of sajha.com but as I love to hear more and talk less, I rarely posted my feelings. But in the time when our motherland is in deep trouble, I couldn?t remain docile as all those bad feelings are haunting me from inside. What next??.. it is really difficult to predict.

Lets trek down the memory lane and try to scrutinize the factors that affected Nepal to reach this stage. Friends, all the views expressed in this post are solely mine and I don?t force anyone to go with me. But your valuable suggestions are heartily accepted even though it depends on me whether to agree or not. Anyway, if we start from the glorious revolution of 2046BS, one will definitely accept that it would have been one of the deciding moment in the history of Nepal, but we couldn?t utilize the opportunity. I have no thing to do personally with all the people listed on my post but I consider Mr. Girija Prasad Koirala (GPK), the main culprit who dragged Nepal to this situation. He is the one who led the country in capacity of PM for maximum time in last 14 years of multi party democracy. I don?t know how does he reserve the moral right to address himself as the representative of Nepalese people as he was even not able to led the government for full term even with majority in the party. If he would have acted wisely a lot could have been done in favour of Nepal as he was leading the party with maximum public support. Isn?t he the person who was the PM and the minister for defence and minister for palace affairs when the palace massacre took place. He should take the moral responsibility of whatever happened. But he is the one who was always barking grand designs. Mr. Madhab Kumar Nepal (MKN) is not far behind too. How wonderfully he led his party. Hats off to you comarade. You not only spoilt the reputation of your party but the future of Nepal and Nepalese people. We appreciate you for the revolutionary decisions by your ministers in the deuba coalition. Increment in cost of petroleum products, three times in six months, treatment expenses to one of the royal relative, the increment in the rate of VAT, the prolongation of the TADO from 3 months to one year, increment in the palace allowance, dispute over the appointment of NRB governer, the Korean manpower scandle? and so on. Wonderful job Mr. Comarade. I will not include Mr. Sher Bahadur Deuba in the list as he is the most dumb person in the political scenario of Nepalese history. He was a perfect puppet for the kings. He is the same person who said to the media after he was being appointed as PM by king G, that I was being given justice by the decendent of king Ram shah, the great of Gorkha. What now Mr. Deuba? But don?t worry you will get chance to be the puppet of the rulers in near future too, as people like you are very rare in this world. I wonder how you reached to this height in Nepali politics. We should not expect anything from the pancha turned ?bahudalbadis? related with RPP or other similar smaller parties as they were and are opportunists. King Gyanendra should not be blamed rather I have sympathy on him. He belongs to the royal family and he is groomed in that manner. He and his followers think that Nepal is King ?s property inherited to him from his forefathers. Pity on their level of thinking. It is normal that the rulers will try to grab more power whenever possible. King G was looking for a perfect finish to the game he was playing for last three years. In last 240 odd years since King Prithivi united all the smaller kingdoms to greater Nepal, Nepalese people have suffered a lot. How come the rulers different than the public? What is the reason they don?t shake hand with general public? Neither our forefathers nor did we live with our head high. How come the kings consider themselves as the incarnation of lord Bishnu? If I am right I guess the royal family is having muslim origin. This is not what I mean muslims and hindus are different. Hinduism, Islam, Christianity etc are, in my view, cultures not religions defined wrongly by the so called contractors of religion. If there is somewhere, there is only one almighty inside you , addressed as bhagwan, god, allha and so on. So every human being is incarnation of bhagwan, god, allha etc. So on the basis of mental level of Nepalese rulers, I don?t blame them for whatever they have done. But I really have pity on the advisers of the royals.

Going back to 2046, it was a major achievement for Nepalese people but our own representatives betrayed us. the sacrifice of known and unknown martyrs in the revolution went on vain. The time was a golden opportunity for the politicians to become leaders. Not every one gets the opportunity to be a legend. That sort of opportunity comes once in several years. Why do we still remember Dashrath Chand, Dharmabhakta, Ganga Lal and Sukra Raj? They adopted the difficult path of freeing the Nepalese people from the chains of slavery. They sacrificed for us, so we are grateful to them. Anyone could have been father of nation after 2046, GPK, MKN, King Birendra, King G or someone else, if anyone of these people would have given up their personal greed. In the lot, history will remember the contribution of king B ( at least he ?superficially? handed over the souvirignity to the representatives of the people) , Mr. Ganesh man (though he could not do a lot for the well being of the nation, he successfully lead the revolution in capacity of the supreme commander), Mr. Manmohan Adhikary ( as a true communist leader), Mr. Madan Bhandari ( as a communist leader with vision), Mr. Krishna Pd. Bhattarai ( may be he is criticized for his character, he led the first interim government successfully and he will always be remembered for all the evils done to him by his own collegues).

Who is to be blamed? The constitution is drafted by the committee consisting of the people?s representatives in 2047 BS. Is there any use of asking questions like who is responsible for having the army under the monarch? What about article 127? The national anthem? About the representative to the throne? Why couldn?t our representatives take firm stand on this matter during drafting of constitution? What a pity the article 127 which refers to the ?releasing the constitution from the unprecedented difficulty?, itself became the cause of violation of the spirit of constitution. We can debate whether the Asoj 18th move of king G was constitutional or not but the fact is it was against the spirit of the constitution of the kingdom of Nepal. I don?t think one would need the degree on law to realize this fact. So why didn?t the people?s representatives oppose the king?s move immediately. The answer is quite simple, they were looking forward for the post of PM. Once the things went unfavourable for them they opposed the move. Then the series of so called protests and bandas. No one opposed when the constitutional monarch violated the constitution. Constitution is the written dignity of the nation but in recent years it has been dealt with something like a cheap novel. Yesterday, I heard the interview of the royal Nepalese ambassador to the UK, Mr. Prabal Pratap Rana, he said that the king?s recent move is in accordance with the constitution of Nepal. Good saying Mr. Rana. You seem to be a quite learned man and must be having a degree in law too. Otherwise, it was difficult for us to know whether the move was constitutional or not. After all for you people king is the constitution. Whatever he says or does is always in accordance to the constitution. We will not be surprised if some day we hear see your name in the constitutional list of ministers. I saw the ministers taking oath in the palace. To my knowledge, ministers take oath that they will follow the constitution of the country. But where is the constitution? Who violated the spirit of constitution? Then, what about the oath???

Yesterday, I read the press release of Mr. Gagan Thapa in sajha and the related comments by our learned friends too. I don?t know Mr. Thapa personally but I read about him in the newspapers, few months back. To me he looks like a gallant student leader. He is the one along with Mr. Gururaj Ghimire and Rajendra Rai to be sentenced under the charge of offence against the king and kingdom. He is one of the student leaders behind the motivation of anti monarchy protests. We can easily figure out how popular he was, that fearing with his popularity as a youth leader, GPK dissolved the students committee with which Mr. Thapa was associated and appointed his henchmen instead. GPK must be motivated by King G in my opinion, in this move, GPK was insecure regarding his daughter?s political career, as new student leaders were emerging. Regarding the posting by learned friends related to Mr. Thapa?s press release, I think lot of views were unjustified. Friends, what do you think, are we proud of being in the US, Australia or in Europe. What is the situation of most of us? where are we working? What are we doing? ???We all know the answer. It is not a very big achievement to be in the US. So why are we suspecting Mr. Thapa?s press release as his opinion to seek political asylum in the US? At least he dared to release his statement opposing the king?s move. I guess with his capacity as an eminent student leader, it will not be at all difficult for him to come to the US. We should realize his situation as he along with some others will be main target for new government comprising of king G?s henchmen. I am really concerned for some of the journalists too. Khagendra Sangraula, Kishore Pahadi, Gunraj Luitel, Hari Roka, Hari Thapa, CK Lal, Krishna Murari Dhungel, Yub Raj Ghimire etc will definitely be the targets too.

Now lets talk about the so called ?new-regime? too. I came to go through the press release of the CPN (Maoist). I could not figure out who is Gyanendra Shahi. In my knowledge there is no Gyanendra Shahi in the political lime light of Nepal. Secondly, they mention about the Royal American army or the Royal Indian Army. I don?t think there is such an Army force in the world. Thirdly, the language of the press release is always so rude that it sounds uncomfortable. CPN (Maoist) is a political party and it should abide the general norms of etiquette. You might be having problem with someone but in my opinion, if you have accepted his/her existence than you should respect him/her. We agree the lower cadres and the militia of the CPN ( Maoist) are less educated but what about the high level committee members Mr. Prachanda, Mr. Baburam, Mr. Mahara are regarded as intellectuals. Why don?t they look over these matters. What should one expect from the people who even don?t have basic knowledge about formatting a press release. What if they really happen to take over the control of the Kingdom in near future. Will they show these sort of irresponsibility dealing with foreign affairs too? I think respecting others, no matter if he/ she is your enemy, glorifies your stature.

I am really worried about the future of my country. Hope everything goes fine as people say there is always silver lining on black clouds but at the moment it is difficult for me to realize that there is some silver lining sort of thing in the clouds covering the future of my motherland. Hope everything goes fine??.
