Men who dress up in drag at fancy dress parties are exactly the same astransvestites, the Sunday Times reported this week.

"Fancy dress is all about acting out your alter ego," style consultant/ psychologist Ros Taylor told the paper.

Thailand Castration Craze Reaches 'Epidemic' Proportions

So many Thai women started cutting off their unfaithful husband's penises in 2004 that local doctors issued detailed guidelines urging vulnerable blokes to prepare contingency plans if caught short.

"If you have a mistress they (wives) will get mad and cut it any time, so make her very happy, always carry a thermos to put it (the severed penis) in and keep the name of a good doctor close by," re-attachment specialist surgeon Dr Surasak Muangsombot advised (Taipei Times).

The trend differed markedly from the situation in Africa where several men recently chopped off their own penises to punish their women. Last October a 38 year old Kenyan man chopped off both his testicles and penis 'to teach his wife a lesson' (Western Daily Press) while at Christmas 26 year old Kenkan Stephen Ongala severed one testicle 'after a
