Can anyone who has an unlimited carfax report account check out this car with the following vin : 4TBG22k9vu181271 ? its a 97 toyota camry ... and the guy is asking for $2500, think i can bring it down to $2000. Would this care be a good buy. There are some cosmetic damages: hail damage, as there was a huge hail storm in this area last year ... windshield needs to be replaced, the left headlight, and the front bumper needs work.. the interior looks clean ... it would be great is someone could check out the carfax report please.

thanks.

cheers,

if u can bring it down to $2000 buy it if the Title is clear.
but also keep the mileage in account. higher mileage, lesser the life of car.
if u want a work car then hail damage and bumper don't matter, only fix the headlight.
to be safe, with or without carfax report, take it to a mechanic and see if any problems are visible.
and don't expect to get perfect mechanical car for $2000.

P.S. ur vin number is not complete, it should have 17 digits not 16 digits...

the vin is not invalid. the thing is, if you copy and paste from here, it will put a space in front and then remove the last digit. that is why it appears invalid on carfax.com. But it is not.

Friend, I would check out this car more carefully. 8 records may mean that this car has had 8 different owners. It is now 9 years old. This may mean that the car has been in multiple accidents or flooded. Be very carful buyin this car. If you really want this car, it might be worth you membership in Carfax to find out the true car history. I would hate to see you get taken spending this much money for a piece of junk. Do your research.
Let me know how it goes.

oh i c
my bad dude
Toyota is good car.
usually they last long.
i think it is a good buy, but depends on mileage.
If it has more than 150k miles, then you may consider something else.

I don't know if Carfax allows me to post the whole result up here, but I did the search for you and there are NO problems with this car. No lemon title, no accidents, no Odomoter rollback etc. The last mile recorded was 123,960
