This is great strategy diversifying Army into Airline industry and bagging a private Jet for the King G. Why does the King not buy the Jet himself ? I am sure he can afford it. Well, he likes to freeload it seems.

If he goes on state visits he can just take commercial flights like his brother used to do after 1990.

But if he is preparing to flee the country... then I guess a commercial flight won't do...

"Huge foreign money flowing in the capital: HM the King"
(***yeah, no sh!t! the title i would have used- "huge foreign money flowing in the king's goji"....murdaa!***)

His Majesty King Gyanendra said a huge sum of foreign money is flowing into the capital for sometime now.

Giving instructions to nominated presidents and vice presidents of eight district development committees of Bagmati zone in Lalitpur Thursday, His Majesty said he wanted them to be aware about this fact.

The monarch did not elaborate.

While visiting the mid-western region last month, King Gyanendra had alleged that anti-social elements were active in Kathmandu and that those taking part in student demonstrations were hired people.

Opposition parties and student bodies refuted such allegations.

An alliance of seven opposition parties has intensified its street protests in the capital for the last few weeks against the royal takeover and calling for restoration of peace and democracy in the country.

King Gyanendra took direct control of the government in February this year by dismissing a coalition government led by premier Sher Bahadur Deuba.

Deuba is now placed under custody on corruption charges. nepalnews.com by Sep 22 05
