Was juz thinkin how ironic relationship between 2 neighbours can b. Nepal is currently facing desperate power shortages 4 all d hydro power potential that she has. It is like Nepal having vasts orchards of mango but without d proper equipment 2 pluck d magos...while India has d equipment but craves most of d mangos or d sweetest mangos 4 herself....hahaha...

I feel that the investment in d hydro power sector is d fastest....shortest n most pragmatic way of economic development in Nepal...unfortunatley we dun't have d finaancial resources 2 fufill our wishes.....n we noe all abt India's desire 2 c a peaceful n successful Nepal don't we ??? I dun c privatisation as a good direction either.....n wif all d political turmoils d country provides as regularly as d monsoons, no foreign MNCs wld rightly feel positive 2 dip their money into d Himalayan waters......pluz we still have d extra factor of parasitic politicans n government officals...devout in their favourite pastime of siphoning public money

BYS (Balaju Yantra Shala) manufactured cross-flow turbine used to be exported in countries such as India, Sri Lanka and Bhutan. I am not sure about now but it used to cost approx Rs.120,000/K. Watt for the generation of electricity from micro hydro projects ( around 2000). I am wondering if anyone knows Akkal Man Nakarmi, I have visited his small workshop where he manufactures Pelton Turbine and assembles a complete unit of micro hydro electric power generator. There are several other genuine individuals devoted to the development of remote areas, I wonder how are they being affected by the conflict in Nepal. I hope with little research if we people living abroad are interested we can contribute financially in small projects for the industrial development of remote villages in Nepal. Wish I can turn back the clock and have Nepal without Maoist issue.
