First Nepali Sanatan Temple In US, Colorado, Denver

The first Nepali Sanatan Community Temple has established in USA at Denver, Colorado by the active Nepali community who lives Colorado.

The temple is located in Brighton,( Denver), Colorado, USA on 218 N. 6th Ave. occupying about 14,000 square feet of land. It was established by the inspiration of His Holiness Shree 108 Swami Tahal Kishorji Maharaj, who is a President of Radha Krishna Organization. Born in Nepal, Maharajji grew up and got his education from India who always has deep affection towards all Nepali people.

Mr. Shyam Shrestha, Mrs. Shanti Shrestha, Mr. Jeevan Shrestha and Mrs. Renu Shrestha got an opportunity to become the Board of Trustees of the Sanatan Temple. They jointly took the initial financial burden of $350,000 to purchase the building plus land as a result the first Nepali Hindu temple was established.

Statue of Lord Pashupatinath will be ordered from Nepal where the Marble statues of Lord Radha Krishna, Jai Jagadamba, Ram Darbar and Shiva Darbar will be ordered from Jaipur, India. Program like Murti Sthapna and Pranapartisha rituals of the statues will be conducted according to Vedas in upcoming Janmasthami.

The inauguration ceremony of the temple was recently inaugurated by Maharaji on the auspicious ceremony of Mahashivaratri. In order to make all devotees a donator of the temple and to pay off the loan of the temple as soon as possible, Maharajji formed a project called “Bhumidan” (donation of land). Each person who will donate $1001 will be a donor of 40 square foot of temple land and that will be proven in Tamrapatra.

86 people have already donated the land in their own name or in the remembrance of their friends & family. The total amounts of $86,086 were collected on that day. The maximum 350 people can be a donor in this project. Maharajji and Trustees of Nepali Sanatan Temple thanks everyone who participated in the Bhumidan project. The participant also enjoyed the delicious meal after the program.

Since past three years, Mr. Janak Baral has been trying hard to uplift the local Nepali community of Denver spiritually and trying to convince them about the need of a Nepali Hindu Temple in US. Thus he became the head priest and Prabandhak of this first Nepali Sanatan Temple, which he deserves to be.

This money would been better spent if it would have had been donated to Nepal govt. in a from of arms and ammo. Nepal govt desperately needs arms and ammo to keep Nepal from getting into the hands of Babyram and Prachanda.

Can we sell all the assets of the Mandir and buy arms and ammo for Nepal govt instead.
This is more urgent than some sort of lame mandir.
