Yesterday night, Chautara the district headquarters of Sindhupalchok was attacked by Maoists. Perhaps it was part of the so called peaceful SPA- MB alliance. Attacks lasted throughout the night. 4 civilians killed and 10 were injured. Maoists forcibly broke the doors of the residences of civilians and launched the attack. Govt buildings and schools were burnt. News channels except one or two were busy discussing the heights of the current SPA-MB loktantrik andolan, how the police shelled tear gas on 'innocent' demonstrators and things like that.

But the aforementioned incident didn't get place anywhere except for a fleeting 2 sentences. Perhaps everyone feels that the Loktantrik andolan will suffer if the deeds of the Maoists are brought in light. Perhaps the SPAs still don't feel that the success is not their own but due to the agreement with the maoists. I feel sad, but the I feel the real portrayal of the situation is never there.

If this andolan succeeds, then will there be loktantra with SPAs or Prachanda's autocratic rule? I don't know.

I agree. Have you ever seen a word said against them about this incident by parties.

And it was in the headline news in BBC. The Maoists used hospital and patients and staff as human shield to attack. How cowardice is that? How shameless is SPA leaders who do not think that the need to talk about it. If they are not concerned when Maoists use hospital to kill people, what makes us think that they will think about Nepalese people when they get the power?

I heard that the families of the maoist leaders are abroad. Anyone know of them? Where they live and what are their names?

SPA are spineless, gutless infront of Maoists. They have no authority whatsoever over Maoists. They are just opportunists to capatilize once this Maoists fueled peoples' struggle comes to end. Or else they would have been out on the streets from day one.
