What do you guys think of Johnny Damon's joining Yankees? He was hero for the Red Sox fans, and now they are treating him like a traitor. The constant booing that he received from the fans in monday's match was simply unbeleivable. Do you guys believe in the notion of loyality in sports ? lets hear from yankees and red sox fans...

Professional sports it's all business. Whatever Johny did for red sox was awesome. I hope for his better with yankees. Only thing he should avoid or i hope he doesn't do is make run when he plays against us.

Loyalty is one thing, traitor-ship is another. Let's talk about loyalty first. Loyalty in professional sports should be taken with grain of salt. We have seen that neither teams are loyal to their players nor is it the other way round. Fans can be loyal to a team, but not to a player. And to expect loyalty in this profession is to expect disappointment. There are few players (and even fewer teams) which have exercised some level of loyalty, that too only if it is not too much strain on the team/individual itself. Bernie w/ Yankees, Amare w/ Suns etc. Was Johny right to leave the Red Sox, hell yeah. He didn't feel he was treated well during the contract negotiation time. He got a good offer from yankees and he took it. He wasn't loyal, but he wasn't wrong. Now was he a traitor? Maybe. Leaving a team and signing the other extreme is like cardinal sin to the fans. He could've chosen any other team. But the fact of the matter is that Yankees offered him a lucrative deal and he had chance of winning another ring with them; hence he took the offer. Did he do anything wrong? No. He may not be loyal and you might even want to call him a traitor, but he was right on what he did. He had the right to do so, and he was right on doing so.

I was one of the Yankees fans who didn't like the idea of signing Johnny. I was scared that signing him would make Bernie Williams, one of my favorite Yankees, off the team. It’s working out great so far….. Johnny made a good business decision.... Red Sox fans should be thankful to him that he helped you guys to win the World Series else you would not get to see in your lifetime :=) simple fact is that RED SOX couldn't afford him to keep one of their superstar so YANKEES got him :=) I hope you RED SOX fans start to buy merchandise and go watch some more games so your team would be able to compete with EVIL EMPIRE DWI, I think Bernie made the wise decision to stay with Yankees. Bernie made the good fortune and he was not going to paid more with other teams. I hope Bernie retires after this season …. Bernie, DJ2, Mariano, Petite and Tino are my all time favorite Yankees players. Someday I hope to see Bernie’s name next to Babe, Mantle, Yogi, Joe D and others in the monument park.

Johnny Demon's a CHUMP !! HE blew chunks on the same plate that made him a Star. But in Bernie, and Jeter's limelight he's gonna look like a real punk that he is. Bigger check dun make you a big star if you dun hit them RBI's he he

Johnny will be fine in New York and I am sure he will be more productive than in Boston. Because he is with the Mighty Yankees with the star line up. Common guys......don't be ridiculous......Boston won one lucky World Series and you guys started to think the BOSOX is the champ. I think I will not be wrong to day this time you guys have to little more the 86 years or whatever it was. It was Bambino's Curse ........now it’s gonna be some other curse maybe Demon Curse sounds close to Damon. Anyway, I am just jokking and good luck to you all BOSOX fan. And we will meet again when Rocket signs with Yankees. GO YANKEES!
