One of my friends was applying for asylum status because Maoist threatened her family. Her application is in the process. Now that Maoists are in main stream politics, I wonder what will happen to her application. What about those who already got asylum status. Technically they don't need asylum anymore. Something to think about

Firstly i am surprised why was the Maoist threatening your friend's family? There are millions of nepalis and i wonder why your friend's family were one those who were targeted. I thought Maoist were only looting and destroying property of corrupted nepali. Is your friend falls into this category i wonder? Most likely people who applied for political asylum need to be shot.
