Does anyone have experience of encountering a so called true " guru " who has shown u the correct way of leading a peaceful life and who has taught the best way of eternal peace of mind.....?...im not talking about all kinds of "dhongi gurus".....im trying to find out somebody who has a totally pure attitude of changing people's life and teaching ways for people to be close with god....and gain peace....Basically,i have never believed in gurus and babajis..but i do believe a lot in god but i've heard that without true guru u can't reach out to god directly...what do u ppl think ...can we find such good preachers in kalyug...who are like bashista, balmiki or those satya yug gurus.....who are driven by such unselfish motive...as human welfare....? As we can see these days ...everywhere there are masked gurus who show something and are something else inside.... it's really hard for us to find who is true and who is not...sometimes i feel they are human beings like us..they have brighter and darker side...so we can follow their good philosophies and just ignore the negative aspects....yes some do have very good philosophies...but what about the negative impacts being created in the society ...? It's really difficult to take a rational decision , don't u think so ?

Arts of Lives, I agree with you. Do you know the recent Jagat guru " Kripaluji Maharaj"? As I am convinced by one of Kripaluji's chela Swami mukundananda,is one of the true guru who can help people to be close to god.

did you mean gurus have contacts with god :D. i mean i agree with you but gurus are just like us but just a lil more into god, supernatural or spiritual stuff and maybe super nice, thats all:|

Guru is consciousness within yourself you do not need somebody else's help.While people are talking $hit about how hindu gurus and pundit who manipulate hindusim, u are encouraging people to repeat same thing.

Let hindu religion be free of indian gurus who come to nepal for sole purpose of making money.Dancing in the tunes of bhajan do not make true hindu .karma makes true hindu.
