While the senior Maoists are strolling around and meeting the SPA leaders to talk about their agenda, their comrades are extorting people and if their demands are not met, abducting them. How do the Maoists expect a headmaster from a village to give them money which is more than people earn in those parts. So, if you cannot earn enough and have to pay the rebels, what do you do? Extort someone like the rebels do and pay them? What the hell are the rebels trying to do by showing such double standards?
On one hand, the leaders are defending the rebels and helping them come into the political mainstream and on the other hand, rebels are simply not doing anything for the people to consider them worth trusting. It is no point telling rebels to stop extorting because they are not only inhumane, but they lack the power of analysis as well.
