bpu, There are lots of nepalese in Portland area but I am not sure in Vancouver. I am 2 hrs away from Vancouver. NAO (Nepalese Association in Oregon) organizes lots of events. That would be a good opportunity to know some people around portland-oregon. their website is www.nao..org.

good-luck

Hi,
yes there are about 400 or so Nepalese in Vancouver.
We were also there in May and loved it.
Recently even Mukti Shakya of Mukti and Revival performed in Vancouver (May 2006).
You can email me if you want some contact.

I m so sorry.
I was mistaken with Vancouver, Canada.
Eitherway, there are many Nepalese in Portland too.
We were there too :)
I have some cousins there.
I can still provide you some contacts if you email me.
Sorry for the confusion.
