hey all..i am travelling nepal next month..so is there any problem carrying both expired passport and renewed passport while travelling...my US visa is on expired passport and i got five year multiple visa...do i have to go to embassy in nepal to get visa on my renewed passport...or Can i still use that multiple visa of my expired passport??? by the way my visa will expire on may,07....any suggestion will be highly appreciated....peace out!!!

okay hiprock, just carry the old and the new with you and show them at the same time!! there is nothing else you have to do! :)

There will be a problem if you dont carry your expired passport. Cos you wont be able to come back to US since the visa is in the old passport. SO you have to carry both passport most important the one that have your visa. you dont have to do transfer your visa to new passport. Just carry both and you will be ok

Dear HipRock,

All comments are correct. What I would further suggest is to clip the back cover of the new passport with the front cover of the old passport to carry them together. There must not be any problem while travelling to Nepal but once you land in US after your return trip it will be convenient for you to show the USVisa at the Immigration in your old passport. This way you don't misplace the passports and during your stay in US after that too they must remain together in case you need to show them at any place due to any valid reason.

HipRock dude,
As far as I knowwhen you renew your poassport, you ae supposed to attach it with you old one.

its same as having old and new undewears together in one luggage.
