MP Shrestha shot dead in Siraha, two assailants gunned down by police

KATHMANDU, Sept 23 - An unidentified armed group shot and killed Member of Parliament (MP) Krishna Charan Shrestha in Lahan, the headquarters of Siraha district Saturday morning.
Shrestha, who represented the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) in the House of Representative, was shot dead this morning while on regular morning walk, reported our correspondent Kedar Ojha quoting police sources.
He died on the spot. The incident took place at around 7:30 in the morning.
Meanwhile, latest reports from the district said two of the three assailants were shot dead by local police as they were fleeing the scene after killing Shrestha. The third assailant, who is reportedly carrying a short machine gun, however, managed to escape. Police are trying to nab him by cordoning off the area, security sources said.
Two civilians were also injured in the shootout.
A police source said the Jantantrik Terai Mukti Morcha, a breakaway faction of the CPN-Maoist, could be behind the incident. However, no side has claimed responsibility for the killing so far.

Couple of times that I ve been to sajha there were people fighting along the caste line, but I want them to read the story above and justify how these Indian origin people think of origional people of Nepal. We are so busy fighting among ourselves that this news of MP being shot at would not effect anyone but a newar community but lets say if every Nepali cared about this death by some anti-nationalist (ie rai, limbu, gurung, bahun, newar, chettri, magar, etc...) and let our Gorkhali blood boil imagine how scared these bastards would be, but unfortunately we will never get that oppertunity.
