Question 1. - How did you get your H1B approved if you have not got job? Strange... Next - You will be illegal if you do not get pay checks from the company who sponsored your H1B. You company must be an Indian company. Never trust Indian company. They do whole bunch of frauds.

well the company that got me the h1 is vendor to many fortune 100 companies, and there are more than 200 people working directly or indirectly for that consultancy. As you said it is run by indian, but they r saying as this is the end of year, it will be bit hard to get a new project. I was wondering if I stay on bench 1 more month, will I be illegal??? Its already been one and half month.

What happens if I get H1 from one company and change the company one month after I get my H1? How does that work?

Vas , Even if you are in Bench , ask Indians to generate paychecks , which will reflect on the record , even though it wont pay you. You might have to pay tax! Good luck !
